BASF cuts jobs and closes factories to integrate Ciba into business

Beiersdorf invests €10 million to double production in Thailand

Beiersdorf has invested €10 million to expand a factory in Bangplee, Thailand in order to double the manufacturing capacity of its Nivea products and capitalize on the fast expanding South East Asian market.

In Beiersdorf’s first quarter results, published at the beginning of May, sales in Africa, Asia and Australia increased to €254 m – a rise in organic terms of 5.5 percent. Double-digit increases were recorded in Thailand, making this market an obvious one to concentrate on.

NZ skincare brand goes carbon neutral to allay ‘food mile’ concerns

New Zealand-based brand Snowberry has achieved carbon neutral certification for all of its luxury skin care products.

The company is a major exporter and being able to prove it has offset its greenhouse gas emissions is increasingly important, according to managing director Mark Henderson.
