Terms & Conditions for the Design Cognition Sustainability & cost saving competition

 

1. £3000 of packaging consultancy will be supplied (Free of Charge) by Design Cognition to the winning applicant (Company) to support work in the areas of ‘sustainability’ and ‘cost optimisation’.

2. On-line application forms can be accessed via www.designcognition.com/competition using the ‘enter competition here’ link on that page.

3. Design Cognition accepts no liability for any lost entries.

4. The competition is open to all businesses.

5. The closing time for the competition is 18.00 hours (UK time - BST) on the 15th July 2009. Entries received after this time will be exempt.

6. Only one application per company will be eligible (Applicants must have appropriate authority/approvals from their company to enter the competition).

7. There is only one prize available (no cash alternative).

8. The judge’s decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

9. The winner will be notified by 31st July 2009.

10. Winners agree to take part in any subsequent publicity associated with this competition.

11. The name of the winning company will be published on the Design Cognition website.

12. The judging panel will comprise of 3 representatives from Design Cognition Ltd. The entrants will be judged on the following criteria:
• All 4 questions are answered correctly
• For the “tie breaker” a clear, concise, descriptive statement, in no more than 100 words, of the benefits you believe this prize could bring to your business (entries with more than 100 words will be excluded from the competition)
• The judging panel will be looking for applications that demonstrate the most worthy case and where the £3000 consultancy support could deliver the greatest client benefit
• This could be for pack materials, formats and/or processes that demonstrate the greatest potential for improvement due to existing over-packaging and/or inefficient packing processes
• Applicants must ensure all of their contact details are correct on the competition entry form

13. In the event of the ‘winner’ not accepting the prize, the judging panel will select the next ‘best’ applicant based on the above criteria.

14. Entry to this competition does not form any legal contract or obligation between the Design Cognition and the entrant.
 

15. Design Cognition retain the right to withdraw this competition without prior notice or warning.

16. These rules are construed according to the laws of England and participants agree to submit tot the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. The promoter Design Cognition Ltd reserves the right to exclude entrants and withhold prized for violating any of these terms and conditions.
